“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” ― Helen Keller, The Open Door
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor in spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in the great twilight that knows no victory nor defeat – Theodore Roosevelt.
“If you dare nothing, then when the day is over, nothing is all you will have gained.” ― Neil Gaiman, The Graveyard Book.
If your pursuit is really worth pursing and worth living for, then you must be prepared to take a risk for it.
Myles Munroe submits that; “if that which you are living for is not worth dying for, then it is not worth living for”
Risks must be taken, no two ways about it. Risk is the breakfast of champions not wheat. It is risk- taking that separates the great men from the average and little minds. There are thousands of opportunities out there to capture if you are not ready to tackle the difficulty that barricades you from your anticipated goal. Only motivated, focused and determined people do resist such opportunities. Take a risk and be a winner. Don’t allow problems to change your goal. Champions don’t settle for less. John C. Maxwell advises again,
Learn to say no to the good so you can say yes to the best.
It is a funny thing about life. If you refuse to accept anything but the best you will get it- Somerset Maugham
Great men are ordinary men except that they have extra- ordinary amount of determination. They prefer great risk to quit. Even you, you are a great man if not that you don’t like to take a risk-positive risk.
A great deal of talent is lost to the world for want of little courage. Everyday sends to their grave obscure men whom timidity prevented from making a first effort.-Sydney Smith.
Nothing good comes easily. Risk is there in anything we do. Problems, challenges and risks play a part in the quest for success. Nothing good comes easily. Honey is good. Everybody likes it. But not everybody can get it from the beehive. It is only those who are ready to contend with the bees and the bee stings that can really get honey. It takes courage and real courage to get honey from the bees.
You must overcome the bees to get honey. This is the belief that distinguished the great people that lived on this earth.
Let us never negotiate out of fear, but let us never fear to negotiate- John F. Kennedy
People live and die; generations come and go .there are people that make generations worth remembering. They live and die like others but people of many ages spend time and energy remembering and learning about them. Who they are? They are the great men. They are those that swam to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean with flames in their hand. They took the greatest risks in life
.“…If there is no risk, there is no reward.” ― Christy Raedeke
The world is full of multitudes that are waiting for the few great men to move them. It is the great people that move the world. Every generation looks for great men to follow and honor.
