Every big goal set seems highly unlikely to work out. Now there’s no way your huge goals will happen on their own. It takes more work than most people will ever be willing to put in.
But if you do the work, and set the goal, and MAKE it happen, the people who laughed at you will probably be the people most inspired by you.
If you want something you can’t just hope and wish for it. Being hopeful and wishing for great things is a positive attribute, but it can only get you so far.
If you want to truly reach big objectives in your life, you have to work for it. And that all starts with setting a goal.
Let you goal be very big –bigger than you can carry. Samuel Insull says

Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you will be able to see farther. -Zig Ziglar
Setting big goals are scary to many of us. We may think that we can’t attain them. We look at a big goal, and then we look back at ourselves, and where we are right now, and we think “what is the point of setting a goal like that, I can never attain it.” The reality is that in many cases we don’t know what we are actually capable of achieving until we try. We don’t know our limits until we actually test them. Massive, crazy, wild goals can make our life more enjoyable and fulfilling.

Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.
If your goal is not far from you, then it is not worth struggling for. Again, if your goal is not bigger than you can carry you may forget to ask God for help.

David H. Burnham submits: Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir men’s blood. And probably they will not be realized. Make big plans; aim high in hope of work, remembering that a noble, logical diagram once recorded will not die.
In summary, Michelangelo prays, Lord, grant that I may always desire more than I can accomplish.
