Set a Big Goal -Aim at the sun you might hit a star

Every big goal set seems highly unlikely to work out. Now there’s no way your huge goals will happen on their own. It takes more work than most people will ever be willing to put in.

But if you do the work, and set the goal, and MAKE it happen, the people who laughed at you will probably be the people most inspired by you.
If you want something you can’t just hope and wish for it. Being hopeful and wishing for great things is a positive attribute, but it can only get you so far.

If you want to truly reach big objectives in your life, you have to work for it. And that all starts with setting a goal.

Let you goal be very big –bigger than you can carry. Samuel Insull says

Aim for the top. There is plenty of room there.  There is a few at the top, it’s almost lonely.

Aim at the sun and hit an Eagle. Aim at an Eagle and hit a rock!-American Indian Proverb
Aim high, set stretch goals. Set goals that are out of your comfort zone. Dream Big!

Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you will be able to see farther. -Zig Ziglar

Setting big goals are scary to many of us. We may think that we can’t attain them. We look at a big goal, and then we look back at ourselves, and where we are right now, and we think “what is the point of setting a goal like that, I can never attain it.”  The reality is that in many cases we don’t know what we are actually capable of achieving until we try.  We don’t know our limits until we actually test them. Massive, crazy, wild goals can make our life more enjoyable and fulfilling.

Make sure there is a reasonably big vacuum between where you are at present and where you want to be. So when you look at the vacuum, you will realize your insufficiency and then you will remember God and cry to Him for help.

The advice of Pamela Vaull starr is,

Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.

If your goal is not far from you, then it is not worth struggling for. Again, if your goal is not bigger than you can carry you may forget to ask God for help.

Pastor David Yongi Cho submits that, “God places vision in your heart and then He causes you to return to Him for help”.

That is why Yinkas Adebajo in the December, 2003 edition of Success Digest states that,

The world waits for the man who can dream and not be afraid: who can persist and not ring the bell of defeat: who can dream big things though there are no big things around: this is the man the world awaits and he will surely emerge and change his generation.

David H. Burnham submits: Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir men’s blood. And probably they will not be realized. Make big plans; aim high in hope of work, remembering that a noble, logical diagram once recorded will not die.

In summary, Michelangelo prays, Lord, grant that I may always desire more than I can accomplish.
